A flat strop designed to be screwed to the bench, for which purposes, two holes are provided toward the ends of the baseboard. Overall size 240xx x 50mm with a flat strop surface approx. 195mm x 50mm. For final refining of the edges of carving tools and knives, many folk prefer to use the time honoured leather strop: fastened to a board, as in this case, the stropping of knives and flat blades is made much easier. NB: Always drag the blade away from its cutting edge to minimise the risk of cutting the strop surface.
What's to say, this is us! We are woodworkers and have been retailing in the woodturning, carving and woodworking industry for over 20 year, across two generations. We sell tools we would - and indeed do - use. If it is on the shelves, it carries (for one reason or another) our seal of approval. We are wholly independent, we can choose wherever the wind blows, we have no formal affiliation, which makes our opinons and decision the only trulky inpartial ones in the country as things stand.
We have worked with both big and small manufacturers over the years, we have helped brands develop tools, lathes and accessories, as well as creating our own.
We are proud to manufacture, distribute and retail a huge array of tools, equipment, machinery and supplies for woodturning and wood carving from across the globe.
