The Lansky sharpening system is designed to keep all handled knives super-sharp, with minimum effort. The system enables you to grind the tool edge at a constant bevel angle, regardless of blade shape, and then to refine the edge with a secondary bevel to create a superbly sharp, well-supported cutting edge. The jig at the heart of the system enables bevel angles of 17, 20, 25 and 30 degrees to be set and maintained.
This, the most simple of the Lansky kits contains the reversible multi-angle knife clamp/jig, a medium grit Alumina Oxide hone with guide rod and a bottle of honing oil, all packed in a robust moulded storage case. Suitable for routine sharpening of bench, field and kitchen knives.
Sharpening and honing systems for hand bladed tools.
The controlled-angle sharpening system was designed by Arthur Lansky Levine in 1979. A first of its kind, the knife sharpening system was a hit with consumers, and remains our most popular item.
The Lansky controlled-angle knife sharpening system is an easy-to-use sharpening solution that helps you get a razor sharp edge every time. It comes in seven kit varieties, with three to five sharpening hones per kit.
