A set of flat bit drills containing 8 pieces for drilling holes in wood from 10mm to 32mm diameter. These are useful 'handyman' tools which work well in both side- and end-grain timbers, especially softwoods ('deal') as used in construction and DIY. The shanks on these examples are 1/4 inch hexagon designed to fit into drill/driver tools providing a non-slip interface to the power tool. They can also be used in a hand brace, provided a degree of feed pressure can be applied, but are at their best used in a low-speed power drill. The set is presented in a smart, stiffened, robust, nylon carrying case with a Velcro closure.
