A specialised version of a flush-cutting handsaw with reversible 10" (250 mm) blade length. Blade is cut with 15 ppi (points per inch) toothing. Back of blade is both stiffened and pivoted to the offset cranked handle. This enables the blade to be switched to 'opposite-handed' orientation making access much easier when the saw is used in its principal application, cutting dowels, pins, tenons etc. flush with the surrounding surface. The teeth have set only on the upper side so that minimal marking of the surface around the dowel etc. is caused. The handle is plantation-grown rosewood. Manufactured by Crown Hand Tools, of Sheffield, UK.
