Accurate marking out is undoubtedly the foundation of a precision-crafted finished project. This section lists a range of traditional
marking out tools proven in practice. A range of mortise, marking and cutting gauges, wheel gauges,
marking knives, try- and dovetail squares, mitre hooks,
spirit levels, adjustable bevels, awls and more. But progress has not stopped! Elsewhere you will also see a range of innovative M-Power setting out tools, developed to make the life of the craftsman just that little bit easier! You will also find low cost steel rules and
digital calipers in this section. For further tools for setting out, it may also be useful to refer to the Measuring and Marking
tools in our Woodturning Tools sections as many of those also have application in other branches of woodwork. The tools are broken into the following categories to simplify navigation. |
