This section of the site is intended to allow you to probe a little deeper into the details of the Wivamac lathes.  Each area of the lathe is covered on a separate page, selected through the buttons on the left of the page, through live links from the illustrations on the individual lathe pages and at the head of this page, and through text links within the body of the pages.

Most of the specifications are common to all lathe models, though with some obvious exceptions.  (The DB800 and DB801, being bench-mounted, feature little in the "Bed & Stand" section!)  On the other hand, whilst the Bowl Turning Attachment is normally fitted only to the DB1000 and DB1200 models and DB800/801s mounted on the optional stand , it can be perfectly well fitted to bench-mounted DB800/801 lathes given a modicum of forethought when building the support bench.
