BCT VersaTool
A New Concept in Hollowing

Click to see tool dimensions The BCT range was extended with the introduction of the aptly named VersaTool. Available in two sizes (1/2 inch standard and  5/8 inch 'Midi')  these were a new generation of 'Hollowing' tools incorporating a stabiliser bar for perfect control when carrying out undercutting or 'hooking' operations. The tool systems were fitted with the BCT versions of the well known "Arkansas toothpick" manufactured from cobalt HSS for long life use.  The reversible stabiliser can easily be removed by loosening the locking screw and re-attached when required.  For further versatility, alternative tips are available to convert these tool into 'Supercut' -style tools.  The alternative tips mount into a registered pocket, fixing the cutter at the optimum cutting angle (just as on the Supercut Junior).  Simply put on the tip, tighten the securing screw and you're away with what's essentially a classic 'Supercut'. Never in the field of woodturning has one tool shown so much versatility in so many applications.....well, at least in hollowing applications!

The original versions of this tool will shortly be upgraded and will join the exciting new line-up of tools which The ToolPost will be releasing now that we have taken over the manufacturing rights for the BCT product range.

Pending that upgrade we have withdrawn these tools from our listing, to avoid the risk of disappointing customers, but we still have some available in the shop.  If you wish to purchase one of these please get in touch with us by 'phone or email.

Spares and accessories continue to be available, as listed below.
