If you arrived here looking for OneWay Equipment you have arrived at the right location.  The range is not yet on the website as we have only recently taken over the distribution.  Until such time that we have incorporated the range, please call us with your queries and orders on 01235-511101 (UK)

Our latest additions to the site:
Thanks to the feedback that you as customers bring to us, we are never short of ideas for expanding the site.  In response we are working gradually to expand existing ranges and introduce new ones to provide a more comprehensive range of goods for your wants and needs!

  • NOW AVAILABLE: No Turning Back, the new DVD from Les Thorne, exclusively available from The ToolPost.  The man with the smiling eyes gives a tour de force in this, his first DVD.  Covering basic tooling skills and sharpening and progressing to two excellent projects, one spindle and one faceplate style, this is a most enjoyable few hours spent in Les's easy-going company.  Superb turning, well presented, and filmed in our very own training workshop!

  • If you get a buzz from creating useful household objects through your woodturning, then you will find our new ceramic condiment mill mechanisms really useful.  So now you can fill your table with pepper and salt mills - with no hard grind.

  • Stop Press: We are pleased to announce that we are now the UK distributors for OneWay Products, ranging from Lathes through The Wolverine Sharpening systems to tool handles and gouges.  The range is not yet on the site but a call to 01235 511101 will enable us to give you details of prices and availabilities.

  • The latest - and arguably the greatest - innovation to spring from the fertile mind of BCT's Frank Steele is the superb new HolloMate hollowing tool.  This is designed to enable even the most timid of turners to do real "deep" hollowing work, creating hollow forms, with a degree of ease that was never considered even vaguely feasible with previous hollowing tools.  If you thought that you'd never be able to master the process of hollow turning, think again!

  • Cindy Drozda has finally released her latest production - Finial Star in which she shows how she creates her unique Finial Star Lidded Bowl.  We are pleased to add this to her two DVD previous productions, "Elegant Finials"./pages/FONT> and "Fabulous Finial Box"./pages/FONT> both of which are backed with a host of support material.  We also stock the complete range of Mike Mahoney DVDs in which this master bowl turner shares his expertise as well as the excellent Penmaking and Project DVDs by Kip Christensen and Rex Burningham. These DVDs are perfect for beginners looking for early guidance on turning a range of items.  Also available now is the new DVD from Reed Gray who gives a very practical insight into Bowl Coring with the McNaughton (I.e. Centre Saving).

INstructinal DVDs from the big names in woodturning and woodworking

  • We are the UK distributor for Kelton Woodturning Tools , produced by Kel McNaughton, in New Zealand.  This excellent range of tools includes the unsurpassed McNaughton Centre Saving System, named by Ray Key as "The woodturning tool of the century" when he reviewed it. We now have in stock the latest, Mark 8 version , including the completely new Micro Centre Saver for smaller work.

  • If you have ever tried to follow the recommendations for finishing found in American woodworking literature, you probably struggled to match the products mentioned.  We are now offering the General Finishes range of finishing products from the US which includes such specialities as milk paints: you too can be a Shaker (maybe a Mover too!)

General Finishes for milk paints, oil finishes, gel stains and more

  • Ever found corrosion on one of your tools or machines?  You bet!  In that case, let us introduce you to a great range of corrosion protection, prevention and removal products from UK-based specialists Shield Technology including the incredible new Restore rust remover gel.

  • Favourite of many "name" woodturners, Abranet abrasive mesh is available in grits from 80 to 1000.  We supply packs of single grits, mixed grit packs and boxes and rolls of single grits.  And they call me abrasive (only in jest, I'm sure) - you should see this stuff!

  • For the smaller lathe the Model T chuck  has proven really popular with the legion of turners who now own one.  The Model T is available with either 3/4"x16 or 1"x8 tpi spindle mounting insert, it's priced at a very affordable level and is supplied complete with two sets of workholding jaws.  For even smaller work we also offer our own micro chuck, the MM50 and the latest from Acrol, the Midi Chuck.

  • Whilst chucks and faceplates are fine for regular workholding there are times when being able to mount a wooden shop-built jig, mandrel etc. would be an absolute boon.  But how to cut the thread?  The answer is a spindle tap, available to match popular spindle threads.  You'll wonder how you ever managed without one!

  • We're proud to have been appointed as the first (and sole) UK distributor of the brilliant Shellawax finishing products from U-Beaut, based in Australia.  These polishes create a superb finish in double quick time with very little effort, yet are amazingly economical in use.  I tried it: I loved it!  Now at last available in the UK to buy on line.

Shellawax fomr U-Beaut - an Australian secret that deserves not to be.

  • We have sold - and used - Proxxon Precison Power Tools for a long time but had not previously brought them within reach our website users.  The balance is now redressd and we are pleased to offer this excellent range of German-made products covering drills, grinders, sanders, saws, power carvers etc. and myriad accessories.  We have not even tried to bring the whole of this huge range to the web but can supply anything from the range: if you don't find what you need, please ask.  Proxxon - very good products.

  • The VersaChuck from The ToolPost. Simply the most versatile chuck on the planet, offering the capability to mount jaws from most major chuck manufacturers, right out of the box. • Workshop safety is paramount and few remain unaware these days of the hazards presented by dust. The Camvac dust extractors and their myriad accessories are sure to provide a solution to any situation where dust extraction is an issue. With filtration down to 0.5 microns, this really is the Daddy of small workshop dust and chip extractors, which really does keep its dust to itself!

  • Your health is important. Exposure to harmful dust particles can be reduced by the use of a respirator such as the Power Cap IP from JSP. It's more than 'just' a respirator, its a bump cap and an impact protection visor too.  Now available in a "Lite" version too, eliminating trailing battery leads. We also stock the popular Trend Airshield Pro.
